Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Department of Economics at the University of Colorado Denver invites applications for two Instructor positions starting in the fall semester of 2024. The duration of the position is one year with possibility of renewal (full-time and full year) depending upon funding and satisfactory performance. The position requires the individual to teach in our undergraduate program in Beijing, China (International College in Beijing). Candidates should have at least a Master’s degree in economics by August 2024. Candidates from all fields of economics will be considered and those with teaching experience are highly encouraged to apply. The teaching load is 8 courses per academic year (4 in fall and 4 in spring) and the instructor will also assume 10% of their duties in service roles selected in consultation with the Department Chair.

Minimum Qualifications at time of hire:
· Master’s degree in Economics
· Two years of teaching experience
· Independent teaching experience

Preferred Qualifications:
· Demonstrate potential for teaching a variety of courses at the undergraduate level.
· Ability to communicate effectively.
· Ability to advise undergraduate students.
· Commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion.
