Full Text of JOE Listing:
Managing Consultant, Guidehouse Inc., Arlington, VA. Assist clients across various facets of their Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) journey, with particular focus on the activities of financial institutions. Quantify the climate-related risks of client asset and loan portfolios and integrate these risks into existing risk modeling frameworks. Create models to calculate the financed emissions of a financial institution’s holdings. Calculate greenhouse gas emissions footprints. Create science-based emission reduction targets and suggest abatement measures that will allow clients to achieve these goals. Conduct research and analysis on energy-related activities. Create spreadsheet models supporting statistical and economic analyses. Provide innovative digital, programmatic, and financial solutions to our clients. Support multiple sustainability projects related to the organization of team and personal schedules; client communications; project schedules and deliverables; internal networks development to pull in resources across a global team; and team dynamics management. Contribute to business development, sales activities, and the identification of new business development opportunities. Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials for client deliverables.
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Management, Quantitative Management, Environmental Science, or a related field, and one (1) year of related work experience.
Must have one (1) year of experience with/in:
• One of the programming languages such as SAS, R, Python, and/or SQL;
• Applying leading frameworks such as Science-Based and Net-Zero Targets, Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), and ESG;
• Providing guidance to clients to achieve sustainability, including deep decarbonization, climate resilience, and positive social impact; and
• Experience in strategy, financed emissions, and sustainability.
Up to 20% domestic and/or international travel required.
