The Economics Department, Schmidthorst College of Business-BGSU, invites applications for a non-renewable, qualified-rank Assistant Teaching Professor in the field of Economics with a start date of August 2024. This is a full-time, non-tenure track, 9-month appointment. Responsibilities include teaching four sections of Economics one semester and five the other. There are no research responsibilities and very minimal service is required. The sections will mostly be at the principles level, and perhaps the intermediate level. Minimum Requirements: Ph.D. in Economics (ABD accepted) or Master’s Degree in Economics with the equivalent of at least 1 year of professional (non-academic) experience. A statement of teaching philosophy should be included in the application. Preferred candidates will have further evidence of teaching performance such as student and/or peer teaching evaluations.
