Associate Research Fellow Job Summary
The Natural Resources and Resilience Unit of the Transformation Strategies Department of IFPRI seeks a qualified candidate to serve as Associate Research Fellow. This is a 2-year exempt, renewable position based in Washington, DC.

Essential Duties
Specific duties include but are not limited to:
• Conduct research on the ethical and responsible application of AI in agrifood systems, focusing on the unique challenges faced by smallholder farmers and rural communities in the global South.

Required Qualifications
• PhD in Agricultural Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Demonstrated proficiency in data science, statistics, data management, and computer programming.

Research Fellow Job Summary
Institute (IFPRI) seeks a qualified candidate to serve as a Research Fellow I (RF-I) for a two-year, renewable appointment for its Natural Resources and Resilience Unit. This position is based at IFPRI headquarters located in Washington, D.C

Essential Duties:
This position requires a mix of research, project management, capacity strengthening, communications, fundraising, staff supervision, and other activities.

Required Qualifications:
• PhD in Agricultural or Social Science or related field and 3 years of post-PhD research experience
