Opportunity exists to join the Department of Economics at Deakin University as an Associate Professor in Economics.

The successful candidate will undertake outstanding research, deliver excellent teaching, and mentor junior academics and PhD students.

This position is open to all candidates.

Our research has been rated “above world standard” by the Australian Federal Government’s Excellence in Research in Australia with research strengths in Economic Theory, Applied Economics, and Econometrics. We run a PhD program with significant coursework component, host several workshops and conferences every year, and provide a vibrant and stimulating research environment.

This is a full-time, continuing position based in Melbourne, the cultural capital of Australia, world renowned for its relaxed atmosphere, prominent sporting events and festivities, fantastic restaurants, parks and sports clubs, as well as its close proximity to beautiful landscapes and countryside.
