The Center for Economic Studies (CES) and the Social, Economic and Housing Statistics Division (SEHSD) at the U.S. Census Bureau anticipate multiple job openings.

Responsibilities:

-Maintaining, evaluating, and improving data collection and processing.

-Presenting research at professional conferences.

-Publishing working papers and peer-reviewed articles.

-Writing descriptive reports.

-Responding to inquiries from Congress, the press, and the public.

Qualifications:

-U.S. citizenship required.

-PhD-level research experience in economics or related field required.

-Experience with:
--Administrative, household-, firm-, and/or industry-level data.
--Applied econometrics, statistical analysis, and/or big data techniques.

Fields of interest include: applied microeconomics, econometrics, labor, industrial organization, housing, poverty, education, health, transportation, and environmental economics.
