Full Text of JOE Listing:

Are you interested in applying economics and data science skills to improve the world? Do you want first-hand experience at one of the leading universities in the United States?

We're hiring a full-time data scientist. Come work with us and our state partners to rethink and redesign the Medicaid program. Our team operates at the nexus of research and policy.

The Yale School of Public Health (YSPH) catalyzes health for all through innovative and collaborative science, learning, and action. Led by Chima Ndumele and Jacob Wallace, our portfolio focuses on how vulnerable populations connect with and access health care resources with a particular focus on the Medicaid program. We conduct research on how social safety-net organization and design influences access to care and health outcomes and how to optimize the delivery of services in State Medicaid programs, including Connecticut.

We're seeking a Data Scientist who is an economist and expert programmer, fluent in either R, Python, or other programming languages, such Stata. Must have experience with large and complex health care datasets, knowledge of causal inference, and believes in this mission.
