The Department of Economics at the University of Nebraska at Omaha is searching for a tenure-track assistant professor of economics to start August, 2025. We seek candidates passionate about high quality scholarship and teaching in applied microeconomics. The immediate teaching expectations include the ability to cover intermediate microeconomics, graduate (master’s level) microeconomics, as well as other courses in the candidate’s area of specialization. The department is particularly interested in candidates who conduct research, and can teach, in multiple applied microeconomics subfields.

Other fields of interest include, but are not limited to, business economics, environmental economics, natural resource economics, urban and regional economics, labor economics, industrial organization, and behavioral economics. The department has particular interest in candidates with teaching and scholarly activities which are application-oriented in nature.

Required qualifications are a Ph.D. in Economics or a closely related field (ABDs with imminent completion dates will be considered).
