The School of Economics at the University of Maine seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor for a fixed-length term of one year, starting September 2025. The position is a 9-month academic year appointment with primarily teaching duties. We are seeking a vibrant, enthusiastic individual with strong teaching and organizational skills who is committed to fostering an inclusive environment for undergraduate economics instruction and mentoring.

Responsibilities of the position include teaching undergraduate economics courses, with an expectation of three courses each in two semesters. Assigned courses may include Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, and other courses depending on the successful candidate.

Qualifications:
Master’s degree or higher (e.g., M.A./M.S., Ph.D.) in economics or related field.
