The Department of Economics in the Sam M Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas invites applications at the Associate or Full Professor level, beginning in Fall 2025. The Department expects to have two positions available, subject to budgetary approval. We seek candidates with an outstanding record of scholarship and demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence. The search will prioritize candidates who are leading scholars in one of three broadly defined areas of research: behavioral economics (theoretical or experimental), applied microeconomics, and macroeconomics. The committee will, however, consider truly outstanding candidates from any field.
Required Qualifications: (1) A doctoral degree in economics; (2) a track record of high-quality research in economics (3) the potential to continue producing high-quality academic research in leading journals and secure external research funding; (4) a commitment to high-quality teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Preferred Qualifications: Research in either behavioral economics (theoretical or experimental), applied microeconomics or macroeconomics.
