The Department of Economics invites applications for the Vernon Taylor Distinguished Professorship, which will begin in Fall 2025. The successful candidate will demonstrate an outstanding record of teaching and research in economics and enthusiasm for teaching in a liberal arts environment. Individuals at the Senior Assistant Professor level or higher are invited to apply. The department is particularly interested in applicants interested in environmental economics, urban economics, industrial organization, game theory, and/or econometrics.

The Vernon Taylor Professorship is supported by a special endowment and is reserved for individuals widely recognized for their scholarly achievement. The position carries a teaching load of 3 to 4 courses per year. It comes with significant start-up funding and annual research and professional development support.
