The Department of Economics in the College of Liberal Arts invites applications for a full-time tenure-track assistant professor position to begin fall semester 2025 (08/25/2025). Areas of specialization are open. We are committed to attracting candidates from historically under-represented groups.
Qualifications
A Ph.D. or foreign equivalent in Economics or a related field is required. Advanced ABDs may be considered for appointment at the rank of tenure-track instructor with the stipulation that the Ph.D. is conferred in the first year of the appointment.
Candidates will be evaluated according to a) the overall quality of their academic preparation and scholarly work, b) evidence of research ability, c) evidence of commitment to teaching; and d) strength of recommendations.
About the Job
The appointment will be 100% time over the nine-month academic year. Appointment will be at the level of tenure-track assistant professor depending on qualifications and experience, consistent with collegiate and University policy. Salary is competitive.
