The School of Global Policy and Strategy (GPS) at UC San Diego invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the fields of International Economics and closely related fields such as but not limited to international trade, international macroeconomics, and spatial economics. The school seeks an outstanding scholar doing empirical research on issues related to the global economy, including trade and trade policy, multinational firms, international macroeconomics, exchange rates, and immigration. Faculty are expected to produce original research and publish in highly ranked academic journals, to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, to supervise and mentor graduate students, and to engage in select service activities.

A Ph.D.  in Economics, Business, or Management with a concentration in Economics and outstanding teaching experience are required. We are particularly interested in scholars with expertise on issues related to the global economy, including trade and trade policy, multinational firms, international macroeconomics, exchange rates, and immigration.

In compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, individuals offered employment with the University of California must be authorized to work in the United States.

The 9-month salary and level of appointment are based on qualifications and UC pay scale.
