Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Institute for Policy Integrity at New York University School of Law (policyintegrity.org) is seeking a postdoctoral research fellow in economics.
The ideal candidates should have a focus on policy-oriented research in one of the following areas: (1) environmental/resource economics; (2) transportation/electric vehicle policy; or (3) energy economics/policy.
Policy Integrity is a non-partisan think tank dedicated to improving the quality of government decisionmaking. We work to identify and support economically sound policies related to energy, the environment, and public health.
The fellow will collaborate with legal and economic researchers to prepare policy reports, comments in regulatory proceedings, and journal articles on a variety of issues including environmental policy, natural resources management, and benefit-cost analysis. Fellows also engage in independent research.
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in economics or a related field by June 2025. Excellent R or Python programming, data, and written communication skills are essential.
The salary range is $83,200 - $90,900 and benefits are generous. The appointment is September 2025 to August 2026, with the option to renew for a second year.
