Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, founded in 1948, is a comprehensive research-oriented university subordinated to the Ministry of Education, P. R. China. It is a key university under the national “211 Project” , “985 Project Advantageous Discipline Innovation Platform”, and a national “double first-class” university.

The School of Public Finance and Taxation as one of the founding schools has made pioneering contributions to the development of finance and taxation disciplines in China. Public Finance in our school is the national key discipline. Both Finance and Taxation are selected as the first-class Bachelor degree disciplines. Also, papers have been published in top journals like Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, and Review of Economic Statistics, etc.
