Colorado State University invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor position focused on Rural Economic Development in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of academia and outreach and join CSU’s growing Regional Economic Development Institute (REDI) team.
The successful candidate will develop a nationally recognized, externally funded research program in agricultural and resource economics and regional development. They will mentor undergraduate and graduate students and contribute to outreach programs that foster economic growth and resilience. This role emphasizes engaged research, working closely with CSU Extension to understand, analyze, and inform economic development strategies, particularly in rural communities across Colorado. The position is structured as 40% extension, 30% teaching, 20% research, and 10% service and engagement.
