The Department of Economics at Vanderbilt University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Senior Lecturer position to begin August 16, 2024. A successful candidate will have a PhD. in Economics awarded no later than August 1, 2024, and a strong desire to teach undergraduate courses in core areas of economics (especially macroeconomics) as well as the ability to offer elective courses in their fields of interest. The standard course load will be six courses per year and would likely include multiple sections of some courses. The initial term of appointment will be for one to three years with the possibility of renewal. Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Vanderbilt stresses excellence in teaching for non-tenure-track faculty in its undergraduate programs. The position will remain open until filled.
