The Department of Economics invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track (NTT) assistant or associate professor position starting August 2024. This is a renewable position with a primary emphasis on teaching and some emphasis on research. Candidates should have either a master’s degree in economics with at least 5 years of professional experience or a PhD in Economics by August 26, 2024; the latter is preferred.

Applicants must show a record of excellence in teaching, good communication skills, and high potential for innovative course delivery. The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate and graduate-level classes. Upper-level undergraduate electives and graduate-level courses depend on the candidate’s areas of specialty and departmental needs. Candidates who can teach applied econometrics and applied microeconomics classes are preferred. The teaching load will be 24 credits per academic year. Additional responsibilities include advising students, leading students’ capstone senior project, assisting in curriculum development, and participating in other departmental activities as assigned by the department chair.
