The La Follette School of Public Affairs and the Division of Extension at the University of Wisconsin-Madison seek a high performing faculty member to engage in research, teaching, and outreach.
Civic and Organizational Leadership is a core research and expertise area in the Division of Extension's Community Development Institute and at the La Follette School of Public Affairs. The faculty member will conduct productive research, be a committed teacher, and will welcome being part of an inter-disciplinary department dedicated to promoting good public policy. Candidates with a strong potential to conduct externally supported research and research grants are preferred.
This joint position will have a 100% tenure home at the La Follette School with the recruitment occurring at the Assistant Professor (tenure-track) or early Associate Professor (tenured) level. The selected scholar will teach one course per year at the La Follette School in its graduate or undergraduate programs and will be active in the service and intellectual life of the school. Candidates must be capable of teaching a course in public sector leadership. The successful candidate will proactively contribute to, support, and advance the college's commitment to diversity among all aspects of their teaching, research, and service.
