Post-doctoral Fellow, Gender and Education Initiative

Position Summary: The Population Council is seeking a Post-doctoral Fellow in education research. The Council aims to improve health and development outcomes by asking and answering strategic research questions to tackle pressing social, economic, health, education, and climate issues worldwide. Our global and interdisciplinary research works across sexual and reproductive health/rights, adolescents, gender equality, education, and climate and environmental justice. Colleagues across the Council conduct rigorous research and communicate evidence strategically to inform policies and investments.

Our education initiative aims to eliminate inequality and inequity in education, and foster justice and empowerment through education. The Post-doctoral Fellow will conduct innovative, rigorous, and relevant research to fill gaps in evidence, and inform decisionmakers on what works to improve education and gender equality. The Fellow will work under our education lead and in collaboration with other researchers in the US and LMIC to support the Council’s growing research agenda on education. PhD or ABD and education-related research background are essential. This position will start ASAP.
