AEA Member Announcements: Annual Meeting Registration and Other Announcements (September 13, 2016)
Registration opens tomorrow for the Allied Social Sciences Associations (ASSA) Annual Meeting held in Chicago, IL January 6-8, 2017. This is a Friday/Saturday/Sunday meeting. Headquarters, registration and exhibits are in the Hyatt Regency, Chicago. Registration opens tomorrow September 14th at 10am CDT at https://conf.aeaweb.org. General Meeting information, which includes procedures for employers and job seekers, is available on the website now. There will be no on-site interview arrangement service or on-site message exchange center; all interview scheduling should be conducted over the internet prior to arrival in Chicago. Job placement interview tables will be located at the Sheraton Grand Chicago.
Please note that the registration site will close today at 4:00 pm CDT and reopen tomorrow, September 14th at 10am CDT at https://conf.aeaweb.org. Registration login information, for existing accounts, can be retrieved today until 4:00pm CDT. New accounts can be created when registration opens tomorrow.

Announcing the 2017 AEA Continuing Education Program to be held at the Loews Chicago on January 8-10, 2017. All ASSA attendees are encouraged to participate in this continuing education opportunity. Participants can choose from three concurrent programs. Topics will include Cross-Section Econometrics, (Alberto Abadie, MIT, Joshua Angrist, MIT and Christopher Walters, UC Berkeley), Behavioral Finance (Ulrike Malmendier, UC Berkeley, and Nicholas Barberis, Yale University) and Industrial Organization (Ariel Pakes, Harvard University). Registration opens tomorrow at 10 am CDT. Webcasts of past Continuing Education sessions are available for all to view at https://www.aeaweb.org/conference/cont-ed/, along with further information and program updates.
Locations for Future Annual Meetings will be Philadelphia (Jan. 5-7, 2018), Atlanta (Jan 4-6, 2019), San Diego (2020), Chicago (2021), Boston (2022), New Orleans (2023), San Antonio (2024), and San Francisco (2025). Please note that the locations for 2018 and 2019 have been reversed to provide attendees with the best possible meeting experience.
