The AEA’s Summer Training and Scholarship Program will be hosted at Howard University for the next five years as the profession strives to recruit more under-represented minorities into economics.
Anyone interested in participating is encouraged to apply. The application portal is open now until the deadline of January 31, 2021.
All students receive 2 months of intensive training in microeconomics, math, econometrics, and research methods with leading faculty. Students have the opportunity to earn 12 college credits.
Howard University is the 13th university to host the Summer Program since it began in 1974. It was most recently hosted at Michigan State University.
