ASSA 2025 Housing Information


Convention Management Resources (CMR) is the housing company for the 2025 meetings. 

The deadline to make reservations at the convention rate is December 12, 2024. 

View the hotel map. The standard single occupancy room rate is $130 (plus tax). The headquarters hotel, Hilton San Francisco Union Square, single occupancy room rate is $180 (plus tax). The $50 premium for the headquarters hotel is a rebate to ASSA to help cover the cost of the meetings.

Additional housing details will be available on the housing website when it opens on September 10, 2024.

IMPORTANT

You must register for the meetings to gain access to the housing website. Once your registration payment has been processed you will receive an email confirmation that contains a link to the housing website. If you do not receive a registration confirmation email within this time frame, email assa@vanderbilt.edu. Hotels will not accept reservations directly. Hotel rates are available on the AEA website at https://www.aeaweb.org/conference/.

CONFIRMATIONS

Hotel confirmations will be sent by email when email addresses are provided, unless otherwise indicated. ASSA Housing (CMR) will email a confirmation once your booking is confirmed, modified, and/or cancelled. Review your confirmation carefully for accuracy. If you do not receive a confirmation via email after completing your reservation, please contact ASSA Housing at assasupport@cmrus.com. Should your desired length of stay not be available at the time of booking, you will have the opportunity to place your reservation on the waitlist for the unavailable dates. ASSA Housing will contact the hotel on your behalf to request the dates needed. A confirmation will be sent to you once all dates are confirmed. An updated confirmation from ASSA Housing is the only notification you will receive if waitlisted nights are added to your reservation.

ROOM RATES/TAXES

To take advantage of the special ASSA Convention rates, you must first register, then make your hotel reservation by December 12, 2024. Beginning December 17, 2024, reservations must be made directly with the participating hotels. Rates do not include local and state taxes of 16.95%. Taxes are subject to change without notice.

CREDIT CARD GUARANTEE

All reservations must be guaranteed by credit card. Requests received without credit card information will not be processed. Fill out the credit card information entirely. Credit cards must be valid through January 2025.

MODIFICATIONS

To make a new reservation or to modify an existing reservation, contact ASSA Housing by December 12, 2024, 8:00 p.m. Central Time. Beginning December 17, 2024, contact your hotel directly for necessary changes. Some hotels do not allow name changes.

HOTEL WAITLIST

For attendees with confirmed reservations, ASSA Housing (CMR) offers waitlisting. Confirmed reservations can be waitlisted for additional nights that are not available at the time of booking or to move to a hotel that is sold out at the time of booking.

By default, the housing website shows hotel availability for an arrival date of January 2, 2025 and departure date of January 5, 2025. If your arrival or departure dates are different, adjust the date fields to update hotel availability.

If your desired hotel is showing as Unavailable, you have the option to (1) make a reservation for a shorter date range and have the remaining nights(s) placed on the waiting list, or (2) make a reservation at a different hotel and have it placed on the waiting list to be moved to your preferred hotel. To identify available dates, select the Show Availability link for your desired hotel. A reservation can be made for available dates by adjusting the arrival and departure date fields at the top of the page.

Once your reservation is confirmed, send a message to ASSAsupport@cmrus.com to be placed on the waiting list. ASSA Housing will contact the hotel on your behalf to request your additional night(s). If and when these are added, you will receive an updated email confirmation. If the additional nights are not available, you will be contacted to discuss alternate options.

 

CANCELLATIONS

To cancel a reservation, contact ASSA Housing by December 12, 2024. Beginning December 17, 2024, contact your hotel directly. Cancellation of your reservation after December 3 will result in a penalty of one night’s room and tax charged to the credit card provided as a guarantee. Failure to check in on your scheduled arrival date will result in the cancellation of all nights of your reservation and a penalty of one night’s room and tax charged to the credit card provided as a guarantee. Some hotels charge an early check in fee for those who wish to check in before 1:00 p.m. Some hotels do not allow name changes, and most hotels charge an early departure fee if you choose to check out before the date that was confirmed upon arrival.
